the four things tag

(Snatching this from You, Me, and a Cup of Tea.)

Four Jobs I’ve Had

I haven’t actually ever had a legit job.  So…yeah.

Four Things I Don’t Eat

I’ll eat almost anything, though whether I enjoy it or not is an entirely different matter.  So I’ll just list four foods I loathe.

  • Avocados
  • Peas
  • Cooked tomatoes
  • Oranges

Four Places I’ve Lived

  • Toronto, Ontario
  • Burketon, Ontario
  • Pickering, Ontario
  • Edmonton, Alberta

Four of my Favorite Foods

  • Pizza
  • Chocolate ice cream
  • Watermelon
  • Almost any kind of sea food

Four Movies I’ve Watched More Than Once

Almost all of them?  So, let randomness abound…

  • Exodus (1960)
  • Minority Report (2002)
  • Princess of Thieves (2001)
  • Ocean’s 11 (1960)

Four TV Shows I Watch

I really don’t know.

  • Family + friends
  • My tablet + my laptop
  • My bed + coffee

Four Places I’ve Visited

  • Washington D.C.
  • Alberta
  • A delightful hotel that has free cookies in the lobby
  • The Ark Encounter

Four Pet Peeves

  • When people don’t use the Oxford Comma/dismiss it as unnecessary.
  • When the hand dryers in public washrooms don’t actually dry your hands.
  • When people say they’ve written ‘a blog’ instead of ‘a blog post’.
  • When I don’t have a bookmark on hand when I stop reading.

Four Things I Wish I Could Do

  • Drive a car.
  • Write mind-blowingly gorgeous prose.
  • Eat whatever I want and never gain weight.
  • See Jude Law as Hamlet.

Four Subjects I Studied at School

  • History
  • Literature
  • Math
  • Grammar

Four Things Near Me Right Now

  1. My sister, Elisabeth.
  2. A green mug.

  4. A box of Kleenexes.

Such a fun tag!  If you enjoy rewatching movies, you are tagged.

  1. Jude Law as Hamlet? Daaannnggg, girl. I’ve never considered that before but YES PLEASE HE’D BE PERFECT. I think he’d get the depression/maniac episodes without writing off Hamlet as some insane nutcase (Hamlet is honestly one of my favorite fictional characters). Loved all your other answers!

    1. Yeah, he actually did play Hamlet – but, unfortunately there’s no recording of it (that I know of). 😦 ALL THAT GENIUS NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN.

And yay for another Hamlet fan! I think he’s great.

  2. UGH – with you on Avocados. “shudders” And on pizza. “mouth waters’ Now I want a slice.

Washington D.C and the Ark Encounter are amazing and unforgettable! So glad you got the chance to see them!

UGH – the public hand dryers are SO ANNOYING.

If you figure out a way for us ladies to eat whatever we want without gaining weight, please let me know!

  3. I’m totally doing this tag.

    My 6-year-old hates oranges too!

I feel like saying “I’ve written a blog” instead of “a post” is a Britishism, sorta? So it doesn’t bug me. But the other things, yeah. Cowboy never uses bookmarks, he just remembers where he is. Baffling.

We need a time machine so you could go back and see Jude Law as Hamlet with me. And so we could video it for posterity, cuz Why Didn’t They???

Can’t wait to do this one!

    1. Yay!

Wow. Is Cowboy even human? 😉 Occasionally I’ll try to remember the page number if I don’t have a bookmark, but that hardly ever works.

Yes, we do. *weeps forever over the impossibility*

  5. Ohhh I wanna do this.

AHHH WHEN PEOPLE SAY A BLOG INSTEAD OF BLOGPOST YES. That annoys me so much more than it should. 😀

Lol you cheated with 4 things I couldn’t live without. That was 8. 🙂

I don’t know how you can’t rewatch movies?!? I’ve seen almost every movie I’ve seen twice too. (So I guess I can do this tag ☺ … If I find time.)

Btw, your blogposts have been awesome lately, and I LOVE how much you post. 😘

    1. You should! I’d love to read your answers. 🙂

      Yes, I know I cheated. #noregrets

Aw, thanks. I’ve got a few drafts that are publishable and I get ideas for blog posts quite frequently – and I love getting new comments – so posting often works well for me!
