announcing the Glenn Ford Blogathon!

Hellooooo, everybody! Rachel (of Hamlette’s Soliloquy) and I are extremely pleased to announce the Glenn Ford Blogathon, honoring one of our favorite classic movie stars of all time. Glenn Ford has starred in everything from Westerns to film noir to the classic 1970’s Superman film and I’m super excited to read what y’all write about him and his work!

The blogathon runs from October 15th to the 17th. A maximum of two reviews per Glenn Ford film is allowed, just so that we don’t get a million posts about 3:10 to Yuma (though, admittedly, I wouldn’t mind that one bit). Other than that, we don’t really have any rules (though we do ask that you keep your posts family friendly). Film reviews, biographical posts, lists of favorite Glenn Ford films/roles…basically anything related to Glenn Ford is allowed!

If you’re interested in participating, comment below and let me know what you plan to write about! I’ll add you to the roster of participants asap.

BLOGATHON PARTICIPANTS
  • Eva – review of The Secret of Convict Lake (1951)
  • Rachel – review of Imitation General (1958)
  • Rachel – top 10 Glenn Ford movies
  • Realweegiemidget – review of The Visitor (1979)
  • J-Dub – review of 3:10 to Yuma (1957)
  • Rebecca – review of Gilda (1946)
  • Kristina – review of Mr. Soft Touch (1949)
  • Erica D. – Glenn Ford and Gloria Grahame in The Big Heat (1953) & Human Desire (1954)
  • You’re next!

And here are some more buttons! Add them to your blog’s sidebar to advertise the blogathon, if you feel so inclined. 😉

Can’t wait to see you there!

  1. Hello there! I’m a huge Glenn Ford fan and seeing that you have planned a blogathon in his honour makes me so very happy. 😀

I’d absolutely love to write about the coupling of Glenn & Gloria Grahame in THE BIG HEAT (1953) and HUMAN DESIRE (1954).

  2. I’d love to be the first of a million reviews of 3:10 to Yuma. You know mine will be different than the other 999,999 😀
